Bonheur Minzoto consults with RAID on business and human rights, corporate law and governance, mining legislation, and corporate litigation. He is a trained Congolese lawyer and a Law Doctorate Candidate at the University of Manchester, where he researches topics related to the regulation, governance, and liability of corporate groups and their directors. Bonheur read Law at the University of York (where he was awarded the programme’s highest award mark) and Université de Kinshasa. His research work has featured in leading periodicals such as the Journal of Corporate Law Studies, and he has contributed to online publications like the Oxford Business Law Blog. Previously, Bonheur worked with the Open Society Foundation-Africa office in Kinshasa and has also held short-term roles with the UN High Commissioner for Refugees and with Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer.
